Sleeping Beauty

Once again, I've got another Disney Princess to love. I haven't seen sleeping beauty in a while but I watched it today and of course I had to fall in love with it. I must say though that any girl approaching her sweet 16 should take a look at the classic disney princesses. Well at least the ones who are cleary 16 like Aurora and Ariel. I'm done with my 16th year and some aspects of it were sweet and some were bitter but it is nothing compared to these princesses. If you're nearing you're sixteenth birthday, you should know that unfortunately, it's not very likely that a gorgeous prince will come and save you from all of the problems you're facing. If you do find a prince, well if your hearts finds someone who gives your stomach butterflies then that's awesome. I'm sure he's awesome even though he's the reason for the butterflies. He might be worth all the trouble that he may put you through but he's not going to be able to save you from the bad things in life. That's up to you. We learn partly through experience. It can be recovering from a fight, getting over a boy, losing a best friend, or any other common problems, they're there to teach us and to make us stronger. It's hard but it's worth it.

I want you to realize how amazing you are. In front of us all is amazing possibilities. It doesn't matter where we live, our financial situation, our race, age, size, shape, gender....none of it matters. The point is that we're all freaking awesome and we can accomplish what ever it is we put our minds to. We have to find what it is inside of us that will help us climb mountains and turn dreams in to reality. We all have to power to love and to dream and to hope and to reach for the stars but I think we don't always realize it and we feel that we can't do any of those things. The reality is that the power to do all those great things is always there. We just have to remember that it's there. We have to find that power and use it. It's there for us and it will help us to be the phenomenal people that we really are deep inside. You're loved. You're amazing. You have the power of hope. You are stronger and more powerful than you think you are. It's all inside. Find it and use it.

Here we go again, time to get over another guy. Once again, it didn't work out. Once again, I feel let down by myself mostly. Oh well. moving on. moving on. moving on. Again. Oh silly boys. Why do you have to be so cute and adorable and headache causing?

new princess :)

I saw Princess and The Frog a few days ago and fell in love with it. Honestly though, if it's disney, and there is a princess involved, I'm going to fall in love with it. Like all of the other disney princess movies, it's all about love and how beautiful it is. Of course there is trouble along the way and there should be. Why be dishonest. Love takes time and patience, there are bumps along the way and we should show that to children through these awesome disney stories although kissing a frog prince is not likely to happen. Neither will falling in love with a beast who lives with talking furniture. They're just imaginative ways to show how amazing and powerful love can be. It helps us to see that we all have our prince, princess, or Evangeline (watch the movie!!), that will love us unconditionally and shine brighter that any other star. It'll take patience and it'll be worth the wait.

I've been told several times today that hope doesn't have a look because it's only a feeling. I think that if you believe and if you have hope in your heart. it's possible to see it....unless your hopeless. although, to be fair, a lot of things give me hope because I believe in so many things. I believe that hope lives in nature. It makes the flowers bloom and the birds sing. I believe that peace is possible. I believe that if today wasn't great, there's always a chance that tomorrow will be phenomenal. I believe that there is someone out there who will fly to the moon for us. I believe that in the darkness, there is fear but there is also hope and hope is real. I believe that it's what gets us through dark times. Maybe you can't give it that much credit until you've lived in the darkness and believed that there was still a way out. I've been in the darkness. wayyy into the darkness. I used to come home from school and stay in bed, crying, feeling more down than ever, being super tired from spending the day at school pretending that everything was okay even though it wasn't and I still had hope that better days were ahead and they came and I'm glad I waited. I'm glad that I knew that I can "be strong now cause things will get better, it might be stormy now but it can't rain forever." I knew that. I had that hope and it helped me get through the darkness. Hope exsists if we allow it to. We can see it if we believe and if we count on it to help us through the day. Just like, when you look in the mirror, there's a wonderful and phenomenal person looking back at you but only if you choose to see them. I hope you see that wonderful and phenomenal person looking back at you in the mirror. I hope that you feel hope and that you see it in the world around you.

I love this poem! Maya Angelou is amazing! I used to keep a copy of this poem with some pictures of her on my 11th grade AP Language and Compostion class. It's great to read when you're feeling a little down. It's just so beautiful. It makes me feel beautiful. I love the word choice. Phenomenal. I want to be phenomenal! There is just so much power behind that word! It's defined as, outstanding, highly extraordinary, exceptional, prodigious. You see all of those words? That's what you are! PHENOMENAL!!! I hope you can see it. It's there!

I'm thinking about doing a survey about things that make people smile and then taking their pictures and making a collection called "smiles I love." It should be really fun and interesting to see what makes people smile! I can post one every week and keep a scrapbook about it! I'm really excited now that I'm typing about it. It should be really fun!

constant change

Don't be afraid of change. Someone told me today that you can have a fresh start in life but still be the same you. I can move away and go to college, have a fresh start and still be the same person. Don't forget that we don't have to be afraid of change. Things happen for a reason. Everything happens for a reason. In church today, our pastor said that "the bumps in life allow us to climb." It's so true! We couldn't get very far if we were climbing up a slippery mountain! Things are thrown at us for a reason, we experience change for a reason, it allows us to grow! We learn from it all and we can't move forward unless we learn how to move on. We have to learn how to deal with these things in our life. They help us. Don't be afraid. We'll make it.

a new leaf.

My aunt sent me this in a chain text message.

I thought it was worth posting on the internet...check it out! :)2day I threw out worrying, it was getting old and in the way. It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things God's way. I threw out a book on MY PAST (Didn't have time to read it anyway). Replaced it with NEW GOALS, started reading it today. I threw out hate and bad memories,(Remember how I treasured them so)? Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long ago. Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST. Threw out I might, I think and I ought. WOW, you should've seen the dust. I ran across a FRIEND, that I don't talk to like I should. His name is GOD the Father, and I really love His style. He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself. Like more PRAYER, more HOPE, more FAITH and more LOVE. Yes... I placed them right on the shelf. I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door. I FOUND IT- it's called PEACE.. Nothing gets me down.

major smile moments today:

• I was on my way to school and a pick up truck was next to us in the road, on the back, the driver had a sticker that said, "God is amazing" It was in really big font also. It really made me smile!


• I walked into the cafeteria today and they were playing burnin' up by the Jonas Brothers. I got to sing it pretty loudly and laugh and smile! It was a lot of fun! It lifted my spirits! I was already in a pretty good mood but the song really took me to another level of a great day! =]

I think a lot of times we value or things more than the people that are important to us. Things don't last forever but a strong bond and a relationship based on love and trust and all that good stuff will be felt forever! I feel it when I think about my grandparents, I know they're gone but I can still feel all the love that was shared when they were alived. Love is amazing. I think it's probably the best if we can share it with someone who returns that love, love that you can feel.

chocolate :)

I love chocolate! Especially dark chocolate! It's like a mini reward or vacation. Don't get me wrong, I don't worship it or anything but I do love it. It's also so cute sometimes! People who make the chocolate can get so creative. Thank you so much chocolate makers! I think if I had some time and money, I'd go get some yummy chocolate chips and bake chocolate chip cookies for all the awesome chocolate factory workers and such out there! It's so yum! It just makes me happy. We should all share the things that make us happy even though chocolate is a little bit harder to share sometimes. I guess I'm just writing this because I want some right now but I'm no where close to any chocolate so I looked up pictures of some and now I want it even more. It's good for you too you know. Dark chocolate is filled with antioxidants. I think someone needs to go ahead and create the chocolate and coffee diet, I'm sure it would become very popular!
