Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm always thankful for the wonderful people, events, things, and experiences in my life but today I really took a moment to think of everything that I'm thankful for.

I'm thankful for my amazing family. I don't know how I would survive without their love and support. I'm so blessed to have such a loving and supportive force in my life. This year, I spent Thanksgiving with my mom, step dad, and my brother and sister. It was a great day. We went to Busch Gardens and then had dinner together. It was a great break from some of the things that have been stressing me out lately. I really needed a great face to face chat with my mom. We missed our family in New York but we should be seeing them around Christmas time! :)

I'm thankful for the opportunity to be in college and all the experiences that have grown and are growing from that. I've met so many wonderful people. I've met people who have taught me some major life lessons because they weren't so wonderful.

I'm thankful for my friends. There are some people in my life who aren't blood related but feel like family nonetheless. Those friends are the ones that will remain in my heart forever. I would do anything for my friends and I know that the feeling is mutual. My friends help me get through the day! They know who they are.

Although I still have homework due on Sunday night. I still had these two extra days off during the week. Two extra days to just relax!

Thanksgiving represents A LOT. I like to focus on the aspect of being thankful. Although I only listed a few things, I'm thankful for so much. This is my favorite time of year. We get to reflect on so much and spend time with the people we love.

I want you to know that I'm thankful for you. I hope you had a beautiful and blessed holiday. If it's not a a holiday you celebrate, I hope your Thursday was fantastic!

Happy Thanksgiving!

If this is a holiday that you celebrate, I hope that you are safe and enjoying it! What are you thankful for? This year, and always, I'm thankful for healing, family, friends, heroes, and for all the beautiful smiles I've witnessed.
It was warm enough today to go out and play with sidewalk chalk so that's just what we did! It was fun!
Don't forget to say thank you to the people who are working hard in this life. If you're reading this, I would like to say thank you for hearing my voice.

Check out one of my previous thank you posts!

Taking the world by storm, obviously.

Have you seen it yourself yet? Have you witnessed the storm of people and organizations who want to let the whole world know that they are beautiful. There are so many people doing everything they can to let the people everywhere know that you matter, we all matter.

There are so many people that feel so alone, in fear that they are not enough. What we don't realize sometimes is that there are a bunch of place where you can receivve support. I know that this is identical to my last post but between then and now, I've stumbled on a lot of support places and it hit me that the world isn't filled with heartless people despite what so many of us have thought for so long. It turns out that there are many people who have hearts big enough to love themselves, the people close to them, and, saving the best for last, complete strangers!

I'm thankful for each and everyone of them. Although I see all these people with big hearts spreading their love everywhere, I know that there are still people who will judge and disrespect others and they probably always will. It still gives me hope that so many people try each day. Thank you so much beautiful people!!!

PS.

there are so many others and if I missed one, you're very welcome to tell me about it and I'll add it.

School Promise

Today, I went with my mom to bring my 5 year old brother and my 3 year old sister to their first day of school. After I got past how cute the uniform was and how adorable it is to see little kids with giant backpacks, it hit me that these kids will hopefully be future doctors, lawyers, policemen, musicians, or anything else that they could imagine. I know that I'm only in high school but it's still amazing to see these little kids who have a world of possibilities! Hopefully, most of them haven't experience the true hard hits that the world can throw at us.
They will learn so much! They're like clean slates. I don't think preschool and elementary school teachers get the credit they deserve. Every surgeon and lawyer needed to learn how to read first. Everyone was taught how to add apples and oranges before they were taught the periodic table. They need so much support. I think that kids start losing passion about their education when they start losing support. Education is the begining of the future. It's funny how some people forget that.
Children are our future. Let's hope they stay away from all things that will bring them down.

Thank You.

Have you ever wondered how many people make countless sacrifices without recieveing any appreciation? Some people are truly amazing but no one ever tells them how much they're worth. I think that makes them so much more amazing! You never know if you're walking by someone who has sacrificed everything for another person without even thinking twice and unfortuantely never got a real thank you. A simple thank you can mean so much to people. We shouldn't forget the people who work so hard for other people's benefit. Thank you mothers, nurses, fathers, doctors, teachers, non-profit workers, authors, doctors, cops, firefighters...thank you everyone who has ever helped anyone in anyway no matter how big or small. I hope everyone knows that they're appreciated even if it's not said enough. THANK YOU!!!!
