I went to a princess party today for my little sister's friend. I think she was turning 3. There were so many little kids running around, laughing and playing, finding beauty and awesomeness in the simplest of things! It was so refreshing. I definitely smiled a lot. They're so lucky to be so innocent, the world is so beautiful to them. It's still filled with all these wonders that are waiting to be discovered. They appreciate it all so much more! I wish we were all that age but not much would get done!

This might make me a dork but I love friday nights because I get to stay up after everyone else falls asleep and sing my favorite songs at the top of my lungs. It makes me happy!

I want to be a bumblebee

I secretly want to be like a bumblebee. If I believe that I can't do it, then chances are, I probably will not succeed. If I believe that I can fly, it's possible that I can soar! It doesn't matter if I'm from a place where all the odds are against me, there's no proof that I won't make it so I don't believe it. I'm going to make it anyway.

It says, "that even though sometimes we feel like we will never be good enough, there's at least one person out there that finds every thing you do is perfect and would give up their whole life for you to realize that."

I asked this beautiful girl, "what is one of the greatest things that she has ever realized" and I recieved one beautiful, phenomenal answer. She is absolutely right! A lot of times I think a lot of us think that we're not good enough and even though we're trying our hardest and it seems like nothing is happening, we're not really letting anyone down. We think we are but the people who truly love us and are really there for us will always be supporting us 100%. I think that's hard for us to realize sometimes but like the lovely Dalia said, "there is at least one person out there that finds every thing that you do is perfect and would give up their whole life for you to realize that." For me, I know for sure that one of those people is my mom. She's always supporting me even on those days when I look in the mirror and see a complete failure of a person. It's very refreshing =]

She makes me smile.

The next time you face the world, know that it's okay to make some mistakes. It's okay to mess up sometimes. It's okay if you're not as perfect as you think you should be. Someone still loves you. Someone still knows that you're trying your best and that they love you for you and what you are. What you are is a beautiful and phenomenal person who is enough.

There's beauty in everything, it just needs to be appreciated more often. I don't think we take enough time to appreciate the beauty there is in everything. A lot of people are quick to say that they don't see the beauty in some things but it's really easy once you try it. All you have to do is look! Open up your heart and look. If you're only looking with your eyes than it might be hard but If you try looking with your heart, it's really easy. Keep an open mind and find the beauty all around you. It's there just waiting to be noticed.♥

Her Hands

My mother's hands are cool and fair,
They can do anything.
Delicate mercies hide them there

Competition

Our regional HOSA competition was today! I placed third in my event. I had to take a test on Human Growth and Development. I've always been really interested in the sybject so I'm glad I did that well. It was my last HOSA competition of high school and I'm glad I had a great time.

I went to sonic and had one of their awesome route 44 slushis, it was lime and pineapple and it had real fresh fruit in it. I fell in love. It was so delicious and refreshing! yum yum yum. I'm thinking about convincing my mom to buy me another one this weekend.

We spelled out HOSA in soda cans! haha. so much fun.

oh and HOSA stands for Health Occupation Students of America :)

Sold

This is the last book I finished. It's called Sold. It's about young girls in Nepal and India who get sold into the sex slave trade. I couldn't put it down. The main character's name is Lakshmi. I love that name, it's so pretty. Anyway, I was amazed by Lakshmi's innocence. It was so tragic how someone so innocent gets trapped into a situation like that.
The author, Patricia McCormick traveled to Nepal and India to interview girls who had the same fate and are currently trying to save other girls from ending up just like that. I highly recommend this book. Its really good. It gives me hope. It doesn't rain forever. =] ♥

off to read more books....who knows where my books are going to take me next :)

Temple Grandin.

On thursday, I got the chance to watch some movies at home. My Auntie Jackie suggested that my mom and I watch the movie Temple Grandin and it happened to start on HBO that morning. We started watching it we loved it! It was such an inspiration. If you ever have the chance, go ahead and check it out! It was great. Temple Grandin in one word is an inspiration. She inspires me because she fought really hard for what she believed in and she went ahead and reached the stars even though the odds were against he. If you have the chance, check it out, you'll love it.

The other movie I got to watch was Coraline. I loved it too! I missed the beginning so I'll have to watch all of it some other time but I did see most of it and I loved it! One of my best friends has seen it a million times So it will have to be our movie. =]

woot woot :)

I got into my #1 college choice! It's close to home and close to Busch Gardens where they have Zebras!! I'm happy to say that I finally feel like I'm one baby step closer to becoming a doctor! I'm so happy!

Favorite Disney Princess

I love them all but Belle has to be my #1.

Reasons I love her:

• I want her house, well her palace, mainly because of her library. Have you seen it? It's huge.
• Her love of reading. She loves the adventure that comes from reading and so do I. I've always loved books for that reason. Reading is like traveling without leaving your room.
• The obvious one, she fell in love with someone for who they really are and not just what they look like.
• She was strange but special, she was herself even though it wasn't accepted at the time to be a woman and a bookworm but she did it because that's what she felt was right in her heart. She had ideas and thoughts and she was proud of them like we all should be.
• She went with her heart. ♥

The 14th of February ♥

Happy Valentine's Day!! If you're single like me, double "Happy Valentine's Day!!!" A lot of the single people I know are depressed because they're currently single. Some people are comfortable with being single and really don't care. I'm not really in any rush to be in love. I'm still learning how to love myself all the right ways. When it's time for me to be in a relationship, I'll learn how to love someone else that way. I like learning and I'm up for every experience that has to deal with learning.

Well my Valentine's Day was spent with me pretty much going on adventures in my imagination. I'm pretty sure that's still a good thing for me to being doing. What would our lives be like if we didn't have our imaginations? Anyway, when I was off daydreaming, imaginary me was traveling all around the world. My imaginary adventures were probably sparked my the missionary who came to my church today. He travels the world teaching about God and he's been to so many places. I wish to travel that much. I love learning about other cultures and lifestyles. It's so beautiful. He said something that really found my heart, "we shouldn't be afraid of people just because they don't look like us." I think all people are beautiful, that's why I want to travel so much. I want to see beauty the way people in other parts of the world see it. I want to see the things that make them smile and complete their hearts. I want to see what makes them who they are and what makes them so beautiful. It seems like it would be an amazing adventure! I think It will have to start with me maybe getting my own car and a job....

you're not going to hold me back.

I know, that when I walk out of my house in the morning, not everyone is going to like me. Not every one is going to approve of what I'm wearing. Not everyone is going to like what I have to say. I also know that when I walk out of the house in the morning, nothing is holding me back from being true to myself because I'm not giving anyone whe power to make me feel inferior anymore. I'm not going to let anyone make me feel inadequate or make me feel uncomfortable in my own skin. I'm taking a stand. I'm going to listen to the music I want to listen to. I'm going to wear the clothes that I want to wear. I'm going to say what I want to. I'm not trying to hurt anyone, I just want to be true to me. I don't want to let other's opinions of me define my life. What a horrible way to live!!! It's true that people change and change is good sometimes but I think it's sad to change who you are to satisfy what someone thinks about you. I am standing up for me!

Here's an example: Some stranger is calling me stupid for still listening to John Mayer. Why should I stop liking him for something that's tearing apart his world right now? I have had dreams of marrying John Mayer and moving to Antartica for a very long time now and I'm not just going to stop dreaming because people don't approve. pfftt.....This is my life and I'm going to live it according to my heart not according to the media or what the "popular" people say. Take a stand with me. Be true to you because you're BEAUTIFUL. you're wonderful and amazing also. Don't let anyone hold you back from reaching your highest potential. Don't let them hold you back from being the amazing, beautiful, and wonderful person that you are. Losing yourself to satisfy someone else is not fair. It's not worth it. Be true to you!

I found this poem and I wanted to share it. I love smiles. I have never seen a smile that I didn't love and it's really true that a smile is a chain reaction. You share one and you start and endless chain so don't forget to share your beautiful smile with someone today. Personally, I think that smiles are a little magical. When you share one, it has the chance of warming someone's heart and brightening their day. It's awesome! I just think that if you have the chance of doing something that amazing, you shouldn't miss out on it. One day, I hope to see you smile and I know that it will warm my heart! ♥

just a reminder....

You're Beautiful.

Let someone know how beautiful they are. There's a giant facebook event going on called "Tell her She's beautiful." It's from the 11th to the 14th of February. It's a chance to let everyone know how beautiful they are on this weekend filled with love. Of course you can let people know how beautiful they are every single day but this is an amazing facebook event and I really wanted to share. I'll be baking cookies and making little cards that say "you're beautiful" and other little uplifting messages. It's important that people see how beautiful they are. I can see it, I hope you see it too.

football :)

This is Peyton Manning. I've been in love with him since the eighth grade-- I like to dream ;)--and even though the Colts didn't win the Super Bowl tonight, to me, he still represents determintation and being the best you can be. Of course that's probably true of all football players but I'm not in love with all of them. I'm just in love with #18 here, Peyton Manning. I'm happy for all football players for living out their dream and doing something that they love! That has to be such an amazing feeling! I hope that I can really do that someday. Be able to dedicate my life to doing something that I love! They're all lucky, whether or not they win each game, they still show amazing amounts of strength, determination, and love for what they do. It's awesome and I love Peyton Manning!!! ♥

bittersweet moment #1

realizing that you can't make someone like you.

If a guy doesn't like me for who I am then he's not worth it. I shouldn't hate him for it and I really shouldn't waste my time on him. I can't change who I am for someone and I shouldn't have to. Who I am is impossible to change. Someday though, I know I'll find someone who loves me for who I am. We all will. I also know that he'll be worth the wait. I don't think anyone should be worth the trouble of changing your whole personality. It just should not be like that. I'm going to be true to myself and live the life I want to live. The life that feels right in my heart. I'm living my life for me and not to fit anyone else's idea of what my life should be. If someone doesn't like it, it's not a big deal. I can't make anyone like me so I'm not going to try anymore. Someday my prince will come and he'll be worth the wait. A girl can dream :) Hopefully fairytales really do come true.
